SABA is Pomegranate Hospitality's flagship restaurant located in New Orleans. SABA, which translates to “grandfather” in Hebrew, pays homage to Chef Alon Shaya’s birthplace of Israel and its rich culinary landscape.

Grandfathers have many stories to tell about a life’s worth of experiences; SABA wants to tell them through food and drink.

SAFTA, meaning “grandmother in Hebrew, is located in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver within The Source Hotel. Grandmothers bring us together through unparalleled meals that are lovingly prepared; SAFTA is no different.

PREVIOUS PROJECTS

SAFTA 1964 by Chef Alon Shaya, from Pomegranate Hospitality, was a limited-run celebrity-chef residency at The Wynn Las Vegas during the year 2024. This playful iteration of SAFTA celebrated Grandma’s fictional heyday, before she became a “safta.” Picture her dressed to the nines, complete with her signature red lipstick, driving her white 1964 Thunderbird convertible west, and toasting the town. She’s the magnetic life of the party, sipping martinis, and running the blackjack table.

The residency officially wrapped December 31, 2024.
