Rescued Recipes

On a visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Alon was immediately drawn to the fragile, carefully preserved family cookbook of Steven Fenves, a 92-year-old Holocaust survivor. After he and Steven connected, they began a collaborative friendship that would tell the story of their shared heritage: As the last living member of his family, Steven helped Alon reconstruct the deeply personal dishes from the book’s delicate pages.

Now, through their Rescued Recipes project, Alon and Steven have raised over $500,000, embarking on a multi-city tour with the goal of building awareness, forging connections, and benefiting the same museum that brought them together. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming dinners.
